Project: Acrylic panel sign Location: Franklin, TN Client: Wall Street Italian Grill We were happy to be able to work on a rebranding project for a client we had already made a sign for before. Originally named Wall Street Pizzeria, the Italian restaurant wanted to rebrand itself as Wall Street Italian Grill offering a broader menu and sophisticated dining experience. The original sign was a flat panel sign with printed graphics. It looked fine and did a good job, but when they [caption id="attachment_931" align="alignright" width="300"]Acrylic sign for Wall Street Italian Grill This new acrylic sign for Wall Street Italian Grill looks professional and sleek.[/caption] wanted to change their name, they also wanted to change their image. This new sign utilizes stacked routed pieces of acrylic in a way that hides all the hardware and makes for a smooth and polished looking front. We stacked the acrylic on an oblong base of an aluminum composite panel (ACP) to give it a flexible but sturdy background. Each routed piece of acrylic was then layered over the panel using a strong adhesive. Even though the sign is layered, it's still very thin and light sign, clocking in at about 1/4" thick. We used our di-cut machine to make a vinyl template for the letters and the bull so we would place them on precisely to get a perfectly straight and even resulting look. After the sign was assembled, the entire thing was bolted to the wall. Thankfully we were able to do it in such a way that you can't see a single bit of the hardware! This helped keep the focus of the sign on the text and on the sleek design. In addition to the large oblong acrylic sign for the restaurant's exterior, we also created custom carry out parking signs. These are made from metal panels bolted to a metal sign post. We also put frosted etch vinyl graphics on the windows to help continue the branding of the restaurant. We always enjoy doing building branding projects like this! If you're interested in getting your own signage, call 615-595-6564 or email Murray Johns at mjohns@12pointsignworks.com.
