Project: Advertising Van Wrap
Location: Cave City, KY
Client: Yogi Bear’s Jellystone Park Camping Resort
It’s always fun to reminisce and have fun with cartoon characters that you loved growing up! We got to do that creating a wrap for Yogi Bear’s Jellystone Park Camping Resort in Cave City, KY. The family-friendly camping resort is located right next to Kentucky’s famous Mammoth Cave National Park with its long system of caves and hiking trails. In addition to being near the caves, Jellystone Park also draws families for vacations by offering comfortable cabins with air-conditioning, wifi, satellite TV, kitchens, and bathrooms. That may not sound like “real” camping to some, but these amenities are very nice to have when vacationing with the whole family—including little kids! The resort also offers fun in the form of a mini-golf course, a pool, a giant “jumping pillow” for kids to bounce on, and a huge water slide. 
There are many franchised Jellystone Resorts throughout the U.S. but the one in Cave City wanted a way to brand their work vans to help them advertise their location and add to the fun atmosphere of their camp. Because they have the license to use Hanna Barbera’s images of Yogi Bear characters, we had access to them as well for the design of the wrap. Our graphic designers put together a partial wrap that actually feels like it covers more of the van than it does because the images are concentrated away from the windows and just on the actual body of the van. The images of Yogi and Boo Boo are vector images that came straight from Hanna Barbera!
Although designing the wrap took about a week because we went through more than one draft of the design before the client decided they liked the final look, the wrap itself was installed in only four and half hours!
