[embed]https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=rKP-Y3kJJaQ[/embed] Do you ever feel like that maybe life is a little too much or you can't handle very much stress coming your way or everything just feels tougher to deal with. And it should be, maybe you've been diagnosed with anxiety. You've been taking medications for that, but you can't figure out why do I feel so anxious? Why do I feel almost so revved up? So I'm Dr. Liang with upper cervical health centers. Anxiety is something that I see come into my office all the time. People sit down, my paperwork kind of looks forward a little bit and they'll tell me, you know, I don't sleep well. I don't feel like I digest my food that well, I just feel tense. Like my shoulders are up in my ears, a lot, that kind of thing. Or. I just feel wound up all the time and the least little thing will almost kind of set me off. Sometimes there is a real physiological reason for that. And that reason is it's pretty simple. If you look at it just based terms, we really have two sides of our body. We have fight or flight, we have rest or digest. So that fight or flight response is when we're up, we're running, we're moving around and we have to get things done, but it should be at a reasonable level. It's not like a bear attack is coming all the time. If that happens, that thing better ramp up and let's get out of here. But we also have our rest or digest side. So the rest or digest is I need to sleep. I need to digest, right? I'm going to eat food or I'm just sitting around at night. Everything should be calm. Well, if we get some dysfunction in our nerves and the way our body is functioning, very often we'll have that, that fight or flight response is just up here running all the time. So it's hard to sleep because your body doesn't get in the right cycle. It's hard to digest food. It doesn't convert over and do the things it needs to do to do that. And if I'm already here and this is my limit, right? It's not going to take much a little thing in traffic. Somebody says a word, it looks at us the way we don't like, or just general life stress increases just a little bit. We're going to pop over that threshold and bam, there it's all going to be. So that's something we deal with in here all the time. We would look at it multiple ways. We're going to look at how does your brain function. Are there things there that are overstimulated or under-stimulated that are keeping that from being in balance. And then we're going to check the spine. Cause believe it or not, the upper part of the neck being misaligned, that's going to co create muscle tension. It's going to look at blood flow to your brain and it can even put some pressure on nerves, which will ramp up in that fight or flight response. So that's something you're dealing with. Come in, have a consultation. We'll sit down, we can do some neuro-testing. We can check, check out your neck and we can find out if you're a good candidate and maybe we could help you with that.
