Oak Valley Middle School recently commissioned Brady SoCal to upgrade its campus. When the project neared completion, the contractor hired our sign shop to put together two sets of 3D building letters for schools in San Diego, CA.
Durable Aluminum Creates an Attractive Focal Point on Campus
After taking measurements and discussing the client’s specs, we produced two sets of letters from three-eighth-inch-thick aluminum. The metal is a good choice for sunny Southern California, where other materials could deteriorate. In this case, the great looks of the aluminum will last for many years to come.
Mounting the letters was a bit of a challenge. The client requested that we mount them at the top to an overhang, which would display the products hanging down. However, the ceiling had a marked slope. Therefore, we had to match the ceiling’s angle with the mounting bar for the letters to hang straight. The finished result is a brand-centric display that boosts student pride with letters spelling out, “Home of the Falcons.”
