Mattress Firm presents customers with the tagline, “Save Money. Sleep Happy.” The retailer specializes in mattresses, furniture, accessories, and adjustable beds. In the past, the company’s locations did business under the Sleepy’s name. During its rebranding efforts, the company alerted customers to the change in name and assured them that the enterprise’s products and services would remain unchanged. To ensure that the production of the markers would go off without a hitch, the management team contacted our professionals to handle the design, production, and installation of the signage.
Building Signs Rebrand Mattress Firm Retailers in Brookfield and Southbury CT

When consulting with our client, we noted two locations that would receive new signs. One store is located at 229 Main Street South in Southbury, and the other is situated at 39 Federal Road in Brookfield. The products we designed are
two channel letter signs as well as a post and panel monument. The building signs feature the same font and red color, but one also presents the telltale underline. The same goes for the monument. With the new signage in place and the fact that the delivery trucks had already displayed a co-branded message for a while now, customers are well aware of the changes made to the former Sleepy’s.
Rebranding? Get to Your Signage Quickly!
The rebranding process is common. Typically, companies undertake it when merging, adding new principals to a firm, or when it is time to realign a brand with the consumer demographic’s changing tastes. The goal of the process is the continued relevance of the business in today’s economic climate. Although there are plenty of steps to take, some also involve signage.
- Make the introduction early. For the business that uses vehicles in the course of the workday, it makes sense to use them as mobile marketing tools. As the rebranding process starts, add spot graphics to an existing vehicle wrap or graphics package to introduce a new name, logo, color, or font. Doing so begins the process of informing the customer.
- Work from the inside out. We usually recommend starting with the lobby sign and then adapting your other interior signage to the materials and colors you selected. By outfitting the interior first, you do not present the consumer with an updated message on the building that is radically difference from what they see inside. Although it works in reverse, the interior markers must come first.
- Change exterior signs in one session. When you commit to the exterior signage change – channel or dimensional letters, box cabinets, and monuments – it is vital to make the switch at the same time. Failure to do this may confuse motorists seeing a pylon sign but then not finding a corresponding building marker.
