Designing, Manufacturing and Installing Post and Panel Signs in Weston, CT

After meeting with our client for a design consultation, we drafted plans for a dual-post sign with decorative finials. The panel sitting between the posts has decorative cutouts on the top and bottom. The black writing identifies the name of the school with a medium upward arc and an intermediate gray shadow display on the left. The city as well as the building’s designation show without arc or shadow. Against the white backdrop, the letters are easy to read even from a distance. We installed the product in a shrub setting, where the lush green color accentuates the bright tone of the marker.
The Many Uses for Posts with Panels
In this setting, the sign pulls double duty as a monument. In fact, this is one of the common reasons for companies, schools or organizations to commission this product. But there are other uses as well.
- Real estate sales. Developers and real estate agents like to use triple-post and panel signs to advertise new developments as well as commercial venues that are currently undergoing construction. These signs encourage interested buyers to contact the agent in charge of the sale to discuss the details.
- Wayfinding. Large campus properties and hospital grounds rely on this signage solution to act as wayfinding tools. Since it is possible to display one large panel as well as a number of narrow blades, the plank usually features a map while the blade signage points the way to particular destinations.
- Information. Angled for ease of reading while looking beyond the marker’s borders, this type of post and panel display succeeds in providing educational facts. You see these kinds of signs at scenic overlooks, at animal enclosures in a zoo setting, and anywhere else that offering the consumer information is desired.
Design Options
When discussing
exterior signs for schools in Weston, CT, the administrators preferred a traditional appearance. You do not have to restrict your selection to this look. For example, plenty of companies now choose aluminum posts with internally lit panels. Doing so provides the after-dark illumination that makes the sign much more visible and easy to read. It also allows your chosen colors to display more clearly, which helps with branding.
When choosing the lettering for your panel, you might opt for an imprint or a vinyl overlay. That said, why not present your company’s name and a logo with three-dimensional letters made of brushed aluminum, acrylic or sign foam? In some settings, the combination of varying thicknesses and even materials can result in the creation of an attractive atmosphere that sets the tone for the customer’s shopping experience.
