Do you ever wonder how movie studios succeed at having ambulance vehicles, news trucks and similar automobiles participating in the action? The answer is simple: none of these vehicles is real. Oh sure, they look like the real thing. Even so, they are actually vans or box trucks with a convincing wrap, decal and lettering job. Add some props to the mix, and you have a collection of real-looking vehicles. When movie production specialists Auto King needed
vehicles wrapped for a blockbuster movie in Bethel, CT, the management team contacted the graphic artists at Unlimited Signs, Designs & Graphics for assistance.
The Project

We cannot reveal the name of the movie, but we know that it will be a blockbuster. The project called for the use of a Fox News and CBS News truck as well as three ambulances. We took the generic-looking vehicle stand-ins and researched the look of the desired exteriors. Next, we designed the wraps. RTA cut vinyl was suitable for the news trucks. The ambulances required the use of reflective vinyl as well as the telltale reverse-cut vinyl numbers. The combination of reflective and standard vinyl in all the right colors now covers the vehicles. You would be hard-pressed to tell the difference between these look-alikes and the real thing.
Vehicle Wraps are not just for the Movies

Of course,
vehicle wraps for movie cars are not the only products we focus on. Usually, our vehicle graphics customers are business owners who want to use their cars, trucks or vans to advertise the company with graphics, lettering and eye-catching colors.
- Seasonal displays. Advertise seasonal services or catch the attention of consumers during special occasions. Examples include product sales during the winter holiday shopping season as well as service offers during back-to-school time. A great example of this type of wrap is the cleaning service that reminds consumers to get their carpets treated before holiday guests arrive.
- Year-round ads. Computer services providers are among those professionals who know that consumers will always need someone to fix a system, network or stand-alone machine. Getting their names out consistently ensures that the buyer knows whom to call when the occasion arises. These year-round displays are also useful for plumbers, electricians and florists.
- Trailer displays. Wraps are not just for the vehicles but also for the trailers they tow. Whether you are a contractor who relies on a trailer for equipment and material hauling, or a religious organization that visits churches and shelters, do not show up with a nondescript trailer. Your graphics and contact information make a huge difference in the way consumers perceive you.
