So you want to wrap your vehicle? That's Great!
When you call or visit us, here are a few things to do to prepare:
What shape is your car in? Does it have rust? You’ll need to remove the rust and paint over the spot where the rust was. Paint a month or so before you want to wrap.
Do you know what design you want? If so, we would need to have either a drawing or photoshop, etc files to use to redesign, or vector files on a template. You could also explain it to our designer. Other files to use, such as logos, photos, animations, etc. need to be a vector. A vector is a file such as: Illustrator (.ai), Native PDF, Indesign )ID), or an .eps . . We can also design your wrap, however logos, etc must be supplied by you. We can also purchase high resolution photos and bill you.
Please give us the information of your vehicle; such as model year and make. Then we will have a template ready when you arrive.
Your vehicle must be cleaned and detailed the day before the wrap, so that it is clean and dry when we do the magic. If you bring a car that needs to be cleaned, there will be an extra charge. After you bring the clean car, we then hand rub it with alcohol so that it is super clean and ready for the vinyl to stick.
Do not use “Rainex” or other products which might prevent vinyl from sticking to the surface.
Be sure to remove any items that might be lost or stolen from inside your car. We are very careful with your vehicle and contents, but your car might need to be parked outside in the parking lot depending on your drop off/pick up schedule.
AFTER The Wrap. . .
Do:
Wash applied vinyl graphics with a blend of clean water and a mild soap-and-water mixture and a mild car wash detergent (such as Dawn, Joy, or Ivory). Test any cleaning solution on a small section of the vinyl graphic before using.
Always read the warning labels on car care products for proper safety instructions.
Once you’ve washed the vehicle with the soapy water blend, rinse it with clean water.
Either let the vehicle air dry or use a microfiber cloth.
The Don’ts:
Avoid the use of the following to eliminate indications of vinyl failure. This can include loss of gloss level, fading, embrittling, cracking, chipping, or peeling around graphic edges:
Do not allow fuels to stay in contact with the vinyl for extended periods of time. Be sure to clean all spills as soon as possible.
Avoid automated car washes, truck washes which use caustic cleaners, or pressure cleaners to clean your vehicle.
Avoid using Carnauba-Based wax over vinyl graphics. Do not apply any type of wax or polish on matte or carbon fiber finished vinyls.
Do not use mechanical brush washers.
Concerns about Pressure Washing:

Pressure washing should only be used when no other cleaning methods are available. Keep the following in mind while performing this type of cleaning:
Repeated pressure washing can cause vinyl graphics to lift around the edges and peel away from the vehicle, especially if the spray is at a sharp angle to the vinyl edge.
Over time, repeated pressure washing can degrade the face film, causing the graphic to lose its luster, fade, crack and even chip away from the substrate.
Additional things we’ve learned from experience:
Remember that you are driving a wrapped vehicle.. Don’t be upset when you are delayed in traffic because someone wants to check out your car. Consider it your free advertising time. I like to take the long way around the Costco parking lot. It’s amazing how many people turn their heads. The other day, I put two brochures under my windshield wipers. I no more than turned around when someone said, “Oh great! I’ve been wondering about these cars” . He came right over and started asking me questions. Your car doesn’t need to be beautiful to get attention. Sometimes it just needs to be entertaining!
Other things you might want to remember: Be a law abiding citizen. When you text and drive there are folks who will boycott your product, and will also get very upset. You would hate to cause them to be involved in an accident. Do not pick your nose while driving a wrapped car, (This explains itself). Be ready to have people pull up next to you at the traffic light and comment about your car, or ask to know more information. I keep brochures in the glove box just so that I can hand them out to the people who ask. Tell them to pull over to a safe place before you hand out collateral. . . It’s probably best to put your office phone number on the car, rather than your cell number. You don’t need to be a distracted driver, and it’s best (especially for women) to have the phone ring in a safe office environment. My husband also suggests that you keep your car clean, although, my wrap is distracting enough that I don’t think it shows the dirt, but once again, safe is better. Your car is now the entertainer of the highway, so clean the inside of the car too. Keep them guessing - remove the labels that would show what kind of car you are driving. It will keep them looking longer. . . . Enjoy!
