Prius, after stripping. Pristine finish![/caption]
One thing that we do which sets us apart from some of the other sign companies is that we also uninstall vinyl from vehicles and windows, etc. . . To do this, we charge by the hour, and when we estimate, we hope for vinyl that comes off easily.
Depending upon the brand and type of vinyl, we can have an easy job or a difficult one. The job for a PT Cruiser that we did a while ago was actually like chipping off fingernail polish. We had contracted the job to a local company, as we were not set up to do uninstalls at the time, so we felt that we were saved from doing a lot more work ourselves when we heard of the trouble they had.

Will it come off easily?[/caption]
Last week, we did a remove and install for Fast Water Heater Company in Concord. Previously, the company was also involved in Solar Energy, but at this point, wanted to remove that signage and replace it with the water heater information.
The Prius was delivered to us on Thursday evening, and looked pretty good, except for the hood and top of the car. These parts are always the worst, when it comes to wear for vinyl because they get all of the sun exposure. Lee and I looked at the car, and he couldn't resist . . . had to know what kind of a job faced us the next morning. He got one corner up and started pulling. . . Voila! It came off in one piece! I started the same on the other side of the car. . . no problem! Then we had to know how the top of the car was going to react . . . It came right off! So happy about this!
Turns out, the previous wrap was 3M™ Wrap Film Series 1080 . . . we were so thankful! It all came off in about 2 hours the next morning. . . Our production manager, Vic, was a happy camper, too!
