Anyone who wants to endow a wall with art that isn’t on some kind of media, would have a choice of 4 processes:  Paint, Wallpaper, Cut Graphics or a Mural. . . .  Painted mural, as you know is messy, requires an artist to apply, and may or may not hold up well over the years. . . . It is like a huge canvas, and in order to look natural, the artist will need to use special acrylic or oil paint in many colors. If they choose oil paint, you will have the challenge removing the oils someday, or covering the acrylic  (or removing it) when you decide to change the theme of the room. You also run the risk of it being ruined when your friend’s child comes over and decides to add some of his special touches with color crayon. Lilly pond and fountain.[/caption] We offer a solution for this. Murals can be made from a painting, or photograph. Most any kind of art can be mimicked and used as a mural. A photo is taken, and it is printed on vinyl. Different types of vinyl can be used, depending on how long you want it to stay on the wall, whether it is inside or outside, and whether you need to use a special product that is “anti-graffiti”. . . (easy to remove those extra touches from kids and teens). By using a camera, the work has an unlimited color gamut. It looks real because it is actually taken from nature, or is a photo of a painted artwork. An artist’s rendering looks just like it was painted yesterday. There are vinyls that even apply texture. Size is unlimited. Indoor or outdoor application. I have even seen a building wrapped with vinyl (it was an ad for Apple in LA).  [caption id="attachment_344" align="alignleft" width="300"] Mission San Juan Capistrano. Mission bells. We offer a special wallpaper that is not glued, just like manufactured wallpaper. It is pasted with wall paper paste and applied in the traditional way after they it is printed. Perfect for perhaps a stripe that might be made from a specific logo or mascot? Do you need a specific color that can’t be found somewhere else? Wallpaper could be your answer.  The last solution I will discuss today is cut graphics. These can be made of 1 color solid vinyl, or printed with several colors, shades, faces, etc. and then cut and applied. . Imagination is the only limit on any of these choices.
