1(800) RADIATOR & A/C of Concord, CA, came to us with the challenge of revitalizing a Chevrolet HHR back into a bright, contemporary looking company vehicle. (Sadly, we do not have the original picture,)
Stripping the old, rainbow tie-dye vinyl off of the car was a huge project. 10 - 12 man hours were spent , meticulously scraping the tiniest pieces off of the finish while gently preserving the paint below. The original wrap was done several years ago, and not very well.
It’s always good to use the right vinyl and install it correctly for looks, wear, and easy removal down the road. Signature d’Sign wraps a vehicle in the best 3M product available for the client’s budget and purpose whenever possible. When a wrap is done correctly, it protects the paint of a vehicle. That way, years later when the vinyl is removed, a new paint job is exposed and the owner can either enjoy it or sell the vehicle. Many high end vehicles are wrapped before the owner even takes delivery. Tired of a red car? Let’s make it green for a while!
After removal, the whole vehicle was cleaned and brought back to a close to original condition. It was understood that some of the finish would probably not be salvageable, but, we did save 95%. Removal of the old graphics on cars, windows, trailers, etc. is part of what we do. In this case, we used our 3M Certified partner (Whiplash Media) to get the best job done.
A few days later, the client decided to put their logos and phone information on the clean, white vehicle. This was an easy task, and was completed quickly.
The client was happy with the finished product. They feel like they have a newer vehicle that is welcomed by clients.
