We recently heard from a favorite client of ours, Capella Flavors. As they were settling into their new location, they were ready for a new illuminated monument sign for their new headquarters building. Their business success had grown so much in need of larger premises, with room to grow. They wanted a custom illuminated monument sign and stamp their brand on the new neighborhood. We provided a beautiful new illuminated monument sign, bringing their dream into reality!
Monument Sign for Corporate Headquarters
You can view the results in the accompanying image. To ensure brand consistency, the client supplied artwork for the logo, including black and white lettering with a red flourish. We designed the sign with a sweeping curve along the top to reflect the client’s modern vibe. The final illuminated monument had a clean design with materials to withstand the elements.

Custom Monument Sign by Driveway
In creating the illuminated monument sign, our process begins with the customer approving the final design. Then, we start getting all the necessary permits and landlord approval. We undertook all the research and prepared the planning documents, in this case for the City of Carlsbad. The illuminated monument sign was constructed from aluminum panels, and fitted with LEDs inside. We created the ‘Capella’ logo letters from colored translucent vinyl, using precise PANTONE numbers. The word, ‘FLAVORS,’ was made using ½” thick push-through acrylic, while the address numbers were made from ½” thick painted acrylic. The sign measured 71” high by 94” wide and 18.5” deep, and was installed by us on a cement pad with rebar reinforcement.
