It’s always rewarding to help your neighbors, so we were delighted to get an order for a new reception sign from DJO Global. We didn’t have far to deliver - their office is just across the street from ours. DJO is a billion dollar orthopedic devices business with thousands of employees across the globe. All businesses want to make a good impression, and for DJO corporate offices, the signage needs to be immaculate. They wanted to create a lobby for their customers that was welcoming and comfortable but remained, very clearly, a professional space. The interior design was all about comfort while waiting or talking to sales people, and DJO wanted to showcase their professionalism with a large, quality reception sign. Their lobby walls were painted bright red, and they discussed the idea with us of applying a white logo to one facing wall. They wanted the lobby reception sign to be very large, acting as an attractive centerpiece for waiting customers. In the past, we’ve created a range of great products for them, including posters and office signs. We’ve also helped with marketing campaigns. For the lobby reception sign, we first took careful measurements of the wall space where it was to be installed. Then we scaled up the DJO Global logo to create a design that would be 84” wide. Before manufacturing the logo, we provided design proofs for the client to sign off. To give a two dimensional effect we machine cut the logo from ¼” white acrylic. Our skilled technicians installed the lobby reception sign flush to the wall using a mounting template and VHB tape.
