Before we start the process of printing a magazine, the designing and layout is the first crucial step. Our employees have the technical skills to understand your individual project and help you develop it by giving you tips and guidelines on your graphic requirements. A template is created to help you gauge an idea of what the final product will look like.
The next step is to select your paperweight and finish. A lightweight, uncoated paper is best suited to text-based magazines, but a magazine with pictures should have a glossy or matte finish. If your magazine has forms or pages that need to be filled out and mailed, newsprint would be more convenient. Next, the layout will need to be proof-checked and rearranged to meet the required dimensions.
Next, you need to identify the kind of binding that your magazine needs. The most common are the saddle-stitch method or the perfect binding method. The saddle-stitch uses staples and produces a more professional look, but is more suitable for a magazine with a low page count. The perfect binding method uses flexible glue and is ideal if your magazine has a higher page count. It allows you to even print on the magazine’s spine. Lastly, you can clarify with your printing company whether they will be directly sending the magazines to the mailing list you provided. Many companies include this process as a part of their standard service.
