Recently, a new Beverage Superstore was opened in Grayson, GA. The owner of the store owns two other Beverage superstore locations in Suwanee. We were contacted to see if we could create large billboard signs in the new location that would promote some of the products they sell. Before beginning the job, we visited one of the other locations to get a sense of what they wanted; however, they had mentioned that the new store would be much bigger and would require signs that were even larger than what we had seen.
When we saw their new location during construction we thought, "WOW, this indeed was going to be a real super store!" What an amazing location! In order to make sure that the new billboard signs would stand out and not be overwhelmed by the large negative space on their walls the new signs needed to be much larger. In this case the news signs are 6 feet tall and 8 to 9 feet wide.
In addition to making sure the signs were large enough, the client also wanted to have the new signs look like framed pictures on the wall. Our solution was to print their images on banner material and then mount the banner signs to a frame made of two-by-fours.
The next hurdle was to make sure that the files we received from our client would be large enough to be to be blown up to the size needed to create their signs without distorting the image. This wasn't a problem but it's important for us to remind our clients that when printing graphics of this size we need very large files!
We had the six billboards mounted just in time for the customer’s Grand Opening. The photo above shows three of the six billboards we created. Looking at the photo, they don’t appear to be as large as they really are, but when you step into the store they jump right out. We are also creating another large, 5 foot by 10 foot indoor sign for them which will be made out of routed PVC. This sign will also hang in the inside of the store and bear the name of the store.
