Vicki Brackett is the owner of The Daughtry House, an event facility in Gainesville, GA.  We met Vicki through another customer of ours (we always appreciate referrals from our customers and friends!).  Vicki called us because she was opening a new bakery and event facility and needed a new sign that would match her upscale look.  She had a very definite idea of the type of sign she wanted, something classy and clean.  In the picture above you can see the post and panel sign we made for The Daughtry House.  It's made of HDU (High Density Urethane), which was routed and then painted. High Density Urethane is a great material for outdoor signs because, even in its raw state, it is waterproof and unaffected by climate changes.  In an area where the weather gets warm, as well as cold, throughout the year, HDU signs are a great choice of material for dealing with seasonal changes.  Another great thing about HDU is it can easily be routed to create three dimensional signs with great detail. Once we had the routing finished, we painted the background white with black as the single accent color.  We also made another sign, which hangs down from the main sign, letting people that are driving by know when the bakery is open.  You can't see it in the image above, but you can see it when the bakery is open.  The hanging sign is also made of routed, and then painted, HDU. Seated nicely along the road this is a great and attractive sign for people driving by to take notice.  The simple color scheme allows the lettering to be easily seen from afar, even though the font is in cursive.
