According to all of the statistics from leading economists, small businesses are the engine of job growth in this country. In the last decade, over 80% of all employment growth has been from the small business sector. Therefore, it is imperative that for all small business to work together to grow and improve our overall economy. We try to do that on a regular basis by doing business with the companies that do business with us. A recent example of this occurred last month. A new restaurant in Buford Georgia, Bagels and More, needed some signage work done at their location. Pinnacle Custom Signs quickly designed window graphics for their front doors, marquee signs for their place on the monument sign in the front of their shopping center, and many additional point-of-sales signs, including a full layout of menu boards. In working with Beverly McKnight, owner of Bagels and More, we found out that she also has a growing catering business. Since we were planning our Grand Opening at the end of the month, it just made sense to ask Beverly to cater our event. She came through and all who attended our event commented on the delicious food that was catered by Bagels and More. By doing business in the small business community, we not only help our fellow entrepreneur, but also help our own business. We now frequent Beverly’s shop on weekend mornings to enjoy their delicious fare as well as the fellowship Beverly extends whenever we visit.
