One of the most daunting tasks in starting up a new business (other than funding) is establishing an identity and a brand presence.  How will customers know who you are, what you do, and what are your products.  This comes down to two important elements.  A name and a logo. Gabriel Dan and his wife Mihaela were in the process of opening up a café in Flowery Branch, Georgia.  They had named it Chimney-Up Café after the chimney cakes that were going to be the centerpiece of the business.  They had already secured the location, ordered equipment, and were in the process of getting everything set up.  However, they lacked a logo and signage necessary to promote and advertise their business.
Gabriel asked us to come up with their logo design.  Our lead sign specialist, Phillip Rodriguez, jumped right into the design, and after several hours of designs and work, came up with a new logo and a new look for the business. The customers loved it, and we began to work on creating the signage for their business.  The first order of business was to create a banner to be used outside the shop to let people know that the business would be opening soon.  The banner included their newly created logo as well as a picture of a

chimney cake to give passersby an idea of the treats they would be selling. While the banner was not a permanent sign, it was the first sign of the new business' presence.
The next step was to of get their more permanent signs designed and created.  For this, several different types of signs were needed.  First and foremost, the marquee at entrance to the shopping center needed to be updated to include the name of their business.  They also needed a more permanent sign on the outside of the shop.  For this, they required lighted channel letters and a lighted logo sign.

The Dans also wanted to have some sort of window graphics to capture the attention of customers to their shop using an image of a chimney cake as well as their new logo.  After they came by our showroom and saw how perforated vinyl can provide a compelling image to their customers, but still allow for visibility from within the shop, they decided that this was the type of graphics that they wanted across the front of their shop. Lastly, we are also looking to provide some indoor graphics to help in decorating the inside of their establishment.  When all of the work is finished, and the café is fully branded, Chimney-up café should be able to draw customers into their establishment by the use of eye catching advertising and signage.
