Initially located at 1358 5th Street in Santa Monica, the TONI&GUY Hairdressing Academy has been a fixture at the upscale Third Street Promenade. Always aware of the importance to remain relevant in a fast-paced culture, the company’s management team has decided to move the operations to Los Angeles. The new location, 464 North Fairfax Avenue, is at the corner of Rosewood Avenue in the Garment District. With the site nailed down and almost ready for move-in, the team contacted us to install window graphics for new businesses in Los Angeles CA.
After consulting with the client, we put together nine window wraps. Seven of them are block-out products. They feature a marketing message alongside graphics depicting models. The first-floor wraps let passersby know about the company’s opening date and provide enrollment information for interested students. For the two upper windows, we used a perforated vinyl instead. After adding an optically clear laminate, the material lets the sunlight stream into the upstairs area. Passersby paid a lot of attention to the progress we made once we started using the bucket van.
Our client was impressed with the quality of the work and the precision installation. Because there will be another TONI&GUY Hairdressing Academy opening up in another state, the team is considering having our shop do the print work for the product and shipping it there for a local installer to put up. For the L.A. location, there is also a need for wall graphics.
