A little less than a year ago, D. L. Sinjem, a cement finishing company tackling medium and large jobs, had its logo revamped and fleet graphics installed for vehicles and trailers. But within just a few months, the company’s management team noticed that some of the decals started to peel. Others seemed to shrink and eventually lift off the vehicle’s surface as well. Rather than calling the company that put in the products, the team contacted our experts for help.
Add Life to Vehicles with Fleet Truck Graphics in La Habra
We visited with the client to look at the problem first hand. Our technicians noticed that the material failure was most likely due to the use of inferior vinyl. To ensure that we would have a good surface to work with, we carefully removed the remaining decals as well as the bits and pieces that had not yet fallen off. Next, we cleaned the surfaces that would display the new graphics.
In the meantime, our graphic artists finished the production of the decals. They redid the images and printed them on 3M calendared vinyl. Next, they added a 3M UV protection laminate. This brand is a little more expensive than other vinyl films, but the manufacturer rates the products for a five-year outdoor use duration. It is fair to say that 3M is at the top of the list of vinyl makers. Finally, our technicians installed the new decals.
These graphics breathe new life into the brand message the company sends with its mobile marketing. Granted, the client paid a little more, but the business will get more than double the useful life out of the product – at far less than double the cost. That is a good investment.
Getting Vehicle Graphics? Two Tips to Live By
1. Ask to see a portfolio. You are looking for two things: proof that the company has done the work you are about to hire them for and that there are varied decals and wraps. Stay away from the one-trick pony.
2. Do not ask for cheap. Cheap graphics look it. Instead, ask for a budget-friendly work around. Rather than cutting costs with the material, you can save a lot of money with design steps.
Do Not Stick with So-so Graphics
If you are not happy with the graphics you currently have on your fleet vehicles, do not just tolerate them. These products are instrumental in presenting your advertising and branding message to the consumer. They have to look great and need to be on point from a marketing standpoint. If they do not adequately represent what your company stands for, your business may be losing sales.
