I don’t know about you but I’ve always loved visiting lakes, both for water sports as well as fishing. And what could be better than having a house right on the shore of a lake? We were very excited when we were called by Mrs. Mia C to come out to her gorgeous lake home.
As you can see that and they excellent pictures in this article, this truly is what the inside of a home on this scale looks like. And what was most impressive to us and was the extensive use of floor-to-ceiling sliding doors along the back of the house. When you want to enjoy the view of the lake
and the surrounding area, a home like this is just perfect.
Now looking in the windows from the outside you can see how beautifully furnished her home is. From a gourmet kitchen to the very comfortable seating area, this truly is a stunning property.
Walking into the home you are standing on very nice flooring which continues up the stairs to the second floor. Having selected this fine material is very important to take care of it. This includes not only vacuuming and polishing, but maybe even more importantly and includes protecting it from the effects of sunlight. Sun light, in addition to providing light and heat, also exposes the interior of the home to the UV rays that are part of the sunlight shining through the windows.
Of course one option would be to place blinds or shades on each of the windows to block the sunlight. But in blocking the sunlight you are also blocking the beautiful views outside of this home. This was not an option Mia was willing to consider.
So she called us to provide a much better option, which would not only block the fading effect but also to help reduce the solar heat coming into her home.
We are experts in
the professional application of window tinting film. For this project we elected to use Huper Optik Ceramic 40 window tinting film on all of the glass. This product is ideal for controlling both the solar heat and UV rays while at the same time not changing the view of the lake. Look again at the pictures in this article to fully appreciate her view after the window tinting film was applied – crystal clear!
