BY: Glyna Humm, Fusion One Marketing

Welcome to City Scoops Where we discuss the latest updates from Fusion One Marketing. This week we had some incredible content that we want to make sure you see and hear about.

Last week on the blog rediscussed an exciting piece of information that Google has released. Lately, with the Google business profile update, we have had so many things going on in the world of Google. We wanted to make sure that you didn’t miss out when it comes to the latest information about Google reviews.

In the past businesses have been terrified of getting a bad review. A lot of people believed that one bad review would make a company look less trustworthy than a company that had all 5.0 reviews. Well, the myth has finally been dispelled. Google shared on their review’s information page did they “value all reviews.”

This is great news for businesses because it now means that they don’t have to have the pressure of having all 5.0 reviews. Even a one-star review in certain circumstances isn’t going to derail your business in the eyes of Google. It could actually make you look more trustworthy. Research has shown that business is with between a 4.6 and a 4.9 review average are the most trustworthy to clients and to Google.

We’re discussing this as well as how to collect reviews and what to do if you do get a negative review over on the blog. Make sure you hop on over so you can stay up to date and keep growing your business through Google reviews.

In case you missed it our latest episode of Marketing Mix is all about how QR codes can enhance your marketing strategy.

If you’re wondering what a QR code is, pause quickly and go Google “QR code”. You’ve probably seen one in a restaurant post-pandemic as businesses have moved to more customer safety-conscious menus online. Or you may remember them back from the days of Snapchat. Either way, they are making a huge comeback and are here to stay!

The pandemic has made so many businesses change how they handle business, marketing, and client safety. As businesses have adapted the QR code has become bigger than ever. Especially since they make it’s so easy to share information with customers. It also doesn’t hurt that there are ways to develop them for free!

We’re discussing a few unique ways to use QR codes full-year marketing strategy. In fact, we’re sharing eight different and unique ways you can incorporate them into your business:

  1. Virtual Business Cards
  2. Share short, engaging video content.
  3. Payment collection.
  4. Review collection.
  5. Share discount and coupon codes.
  6. Direct customers to your social media accounts.
  7. Event QR codes.
