Hoover, AL Digital Marketing Agency Gives Website Tips To Make DIY Easier

BY: Glyna Humm, Fusion One Marketing

Welcome back to our weekly recap at Fusion One Marketing! Last week we aimed our content towards some important digital marketing and business topics.

Starting off with our latest blog, we covered some DIY website tips to make the process of building a website smoother and make sure all bases are covered. We know the tech has gotten easier to use, but there are still small mistakes to look out for.

DIY website checklist

Most build-your-own website platforms offer a free version, but we recommend buying your domain so it won’t include their brand name. It looks more professional, and customers will believe you put more effort into your website. We also suggest checking to see if the website is compatible with a mobile device before publishing it. A majority of users will be visiting from their phones, so this is important.

Now that you have the basics down be thorough when checking to see if all links, buttons, and forms are working correctly. Any phone numbers on your website should be clickable, and your contact forms should be submitting properly. Don’t miss out on any business opportunities!

The last thing on your checklist should be to save the domain registrar’s information so you can automatically renew it. Overall, these steps will help your website function and serve your customers better.

Our next business topic comes from the ladies of Marketing Mix.

Digital Business Cards

Last week’s podcast covered the innovative approach of digital business cards.

In the world of remote working, a new way of networking has emerged online. Digital business cards have been the solution to making connections while working from home. So, what are the benefits, and what goes into creating one?

Similar to a traditional business card, it’s a customizable way to share your contact information, but now you can add a photo or video. Also, they’re the more flexible option if you’re changing jobs. Digital business cards offer more space and convenient sharing options. Plus, it is more affordable and less wasteful than printing copies of traditional cards.

When creating your card, be creative. Add QR codes, video resumes, and resources. You can even highlight a product or make a link tree. Make sure you keep your own branding in mind, as well. There are so many options to make yourself stand out as a professional in your industry, especially if you’re looking for a job.

Digital business cards can set you apart and help you build relationships easier.

We would love to have a conversation with you for more information on this topic or any digital marketing tips and trends.
