Lori Gross is a Speech-Language Pathologist who has been working with children in a clinical setting for the past 25 years. Her years of experience have included many unique opportunities to work with kids of varying ages who face challenges specific to their individual diagnoses. Her approach is backed by her extensive knowledge of Pediatric Speech-Language Pathology, but it is also practical and playful. It is incredibly important that therapy be fun and creative in order to engage children in the learning process and ensure progress and growth.
Pediatric Speech-Language Pathology has taken Lori into clinics, hospital settings, schools, and more where she has shared her expert knowledge and experience with the children and families who need it. She believes quite strongly that her clients are best served when she is able to diagnose their specific needs early and intervene accordingly.
Lori has also found that no two children are exactly alike, so she is continually striving to learn and grow in her abilities as an SLP who serves children as individuals. She maintains an expert knowledge of a wide range of therapeutic techniques and interventions relevant to her field. Her pursuit of continued education has earned her the American Speech-Language-Hearing Association Award. Her commitment to staying current on burgeoning clinical research allows her clients to benefit from the latest understanding of how their individual challenges can be overcome through Speech-Language Therapy.
Her specialties include, but are certainly not limited to, Attention Deficit Disorder, Autism Spectrum Disorder, Childhood Apraxia of Speech, Early Intervention, Social and Emotional Social Skills and Learning Abilities, and Speech and Language Delays or Disorders. Each of these specialties holds various types of certifications that correspond to treatment and management of the issues themselves. Lori has earned certifications in all of the most relevant approaches to working with children who face these challenges.
Lori was also chosen to complete the Social Thinking Clinical Training Program, which has given her tremendous insight into the way children learn socially and emotionally, and the experience has allowed her to develop tools for language and regulation that can be taught directly to her clients. Her membership in the American Speech-Language-Hearing Association and Certification of Clinical Competence in the field have reserved her a place as a trusted expert in the Pediatric Speech-Language Pathology Field.
Beyond her clinical experience and pedigree, Lori is quite simply dedicated to the children and families she serves. Her understanding that family and support system involvement can make all the difference in the effectiveness of her therapeutic assistance has led her to develop healthy, collaborative relationships with all of her families, and even with other influential adults in the lives of the children, such as teachers and coaches. Lori makes it her priority to educate and empower parent and teacher groups through presentations on early intervention in behavioral and social disorders. Through this dedicated work and inspirational involvement in the lives of the children she serves, Lori believes she can make a lasting impact on the way her kids play, learn, and grow on a social/emotional level.
