Franchise Consultant Type 1
Franchise consultant type 1 can help someone buy into an existing franchise. They are kind of like a broker, mixed with a counselor. Their job is to get to know their client and ask them questions that will help the franchise consultant best determine which franchises might be a good fit for their client. With over 700,000 active franchises in the United States, they can help whittle the list down to a more manageable number.
Franchise consultant type 1 might have their client fill out a fairly long questionnaire, ask a bunch of questions personally or over the phone, and ask for information about their background and employment history, personal likes and interests. The better franchise consultant type one can get to know their client, the better they can recommend a franchises that they feel might be a good fit. But, it is also their job to present their client with options, and allow them to make a choice based ultimately on what they want to do.
A great franchise consulting type 1 will probably help to sway their client towards a franchise that has a balance between what their client might excel at, as well as what they enjoy.

Franchise consultant type 2 works with existing business owners and existing franchises.
There are three basic phases that franchise consultant type 2 helps with. The first is with businesses looking to create a brand new franchise. Second, they work with new and emerging franchises to help them grow and create the processes and systems to be successful on a national level. And lastly, they work with well-established franchises to better optimize their current systems and drive more leads to the franchise, as well as to their franchisees.
