Below are before and after pictures of a monument sign installation that we did for Childtime, a daycare center in Six Forks Road in Raleigh, NC. As you can see in the 'before' picture there was an electrical sign previously that needed to be replaced. Besides being a bit outdated there was another reason that we decided to go with a monument sign instead of an electrical sign.
BEFORE

In order to get the permits to have an electrical sign like this you have to file for the permit and it can be a real hassle. So instead of jumping through all those hoops we decided with the client that a different type of sign would be the better choice.
AFTER

In the picture above you can see the new sign. Childtime needed a quick and inexpensive way to upgrade their old electrical sign and decided that they didn't want to go through the tough requirements to get the electrical permit. So we built this monument sign with faux bricks to give it that great brick look without having to actually construct it out of bricks. This is one way we're able to save our clients money that are looking for a more affordable solution. We also used high density styrofoam to create the bulk of the structural design.
And the permit for this sign was approved the same day we isnt

We used a very rugged Faux brick designs made out of heavy density Styrofoam and installed it the same the permit was approved.
