When a customer calls a sign company - searching for a sign solution, the customer depend on the sign company expertise, knowledge and know how - to help find a solution to their signage issue. The customer has to make sure that the sign company he is dealing with, is willing to search and provide feasible solution in a timely manner. Not every sign company is interested nor willing to pursue such task, as the research aspect of the sign solution is a very time consuming task, especially, if the sign company did not encounter that issue before, or require to spend a lot of time making drawings or request a permit. The sign company will have to assess how serious the customer is and ask a lot of questions like: when is the implementation date (due date), is the customer ready to do business if a solution was found, who is the decision maker when a competitive cost effective solution provided, are there any other restrictions or issues that the sign company needs to know beforehand that could possibly affect the outcome of the research.
