At our gun range in Maricopa County we offering family and youth training classes that are specifically designed for a parent-child duo. Check out the classes below and sign up for the one that best suits your needs.

Glock Maintenance

Our first youth and family training class is all about preparedness. This 3-hour class gives students a complete guide to the maintenance of a Glock pistol. The instructor for this course is our certified Glock armorer, he is an expert on all things Glock Pistol.

Learning topics include safely disassembling the pistol, cleaning it well, and safety checks. To help keep this class size as close to one-on-one training as possible we limit this class to 10 students maximum. You must bring your own Glock to this class and a cleaning kit is recommended but not required.

Family Firearm Safety

The first of our family protection courses is designed to start from the very beginning. Young students in this class are taught the five rules of safe gun handling and store as well as what to do if they find a gun in someone else’s home.

This class is specifically designed for the individual family with much of the time spent talking about your individual needs and rules around firearms and firearm safety in the home.

Youth Introduction to Firearms

The second protection course gets you and your kids out on the range for some fun live-fire drills and more knowledge on marksmanship and how to effectively and safely handle a firearm. In this class young students learn the basics of operating a firearm including loading a magazine, safely loading a firearm, performing a safety check, and understanding how to safely shoot on the range.

As a parent you will get to learn and practice the best ways to coach your kids on the range and keep them safe without draining the fun. With dry-fire and live-fire drills, you and your kid will get to put into practice what you learn in this class.

Each child must have a parent or guardian with them and be at least 6 years of age to attend this class.
