Handguns are some of the most popular firearms on the market. They are great for concealed carry and self-defense, as well as offensive range shooting. It makes sense that more and more people are looking for ways to learn the best handgun practices. C2 Tactical wants to make sure that shooters of all skill levels have access to courses that can help them achieve their handgun goals.

Pistol 100 – 300

This series of courses is to start with absolute beginners and work up to more advanced shooters. The Introduction to Handguns (Pistol 100) starts with the most fundamental basics for absolute beginners. It includes universal safety, an overview of the handgun market, how to load and unload ammunition, and practicing a basic shot.

The secondary class, Handgun Fundamentals (Pistol 200) takes the skills and knowledge of the previous course and steps it up a bit. It is aimed at beginning and intermediate shooters who want to focus on gaining accuracy while shooting. This class teaches shooting stance, alignment, and trigger control. The skills learned in this class are great for shooters that need a quick review, and are also required for those looking to eventually be permitted for concealed carry.

The final class in the series is Practical Handgun (Pistol 300) and is meant for those with previous experience. It is meant to help build up on already known skills to improve a shooter’s technique and accuracy. Some of the learned skills in this course include holster draws, dealing with stressful malfunctions, multi-round shots, and advanced reloading techniques.

Pistol Mounted Optics

This class is exactly how it sounds. It takes a look at all of the different sights available for a pistol and advantages and disadvantages for each one. Completion of the P300 course is required to take this class, however for all shooters it is said to practically change their life. Students become well-versed in the modern technique of the pistol including marksmanship, handling, and mindset. Our goal is to instill confidence and competence in all our students to make them stronger and more alert when they need to respond to common threats.

Defensive Shooting Fundamentals

Another 3-part series we offer focuses on the defensive aspect of handling a handgun. These classes build on the fundamentals learned in the previous 3-course series regarding pistols and adds more advanced techniques and practice time. Additionally, these courses have the added focus of defensive maneuvers like shooting with cover and concealment as well as shooting while moving. As students progress through this series the learning skills become more advanced. By the end of this course students are able to confidently defend themselves in any and all situations.

Judgmental Shooting Outside the Home

Focusing on preparing shooters of CCW, this course uses our interactive simulator to go through threat situations outside the home. The instructor-led course will help improve your shooting and tactics along with learning voice commands to use during critical incidents.
