The SPCA has many facets to their business, and therefore their many buildings and entrances need to be identified for the particular department or purpose. Premier Signs of Tampa has had the privilege of working with this great institution many times as they expand and grow. Happy to partner up once again, they got to work on their newest signage needs.
One building now houses the education center and they needed a sign to identify the entrance. The sign they chose was made from a polymetal material cut to size, big enough to not only hold the education center letters but the benefactors names as well. The yellow double doors and awning already draw the eye and frame the entryway. So a sign with simple black vinyl letters on the white background was hung above the bright yellow awning. Simple, professional, and easy to read.
Another sign was needed for the adoption center. This one was larger and hung much higher on the front exterior of its building. Otherwise, the same simple black text on the white polymetal sign base, was repeated. It is easy to read and sits between the blue roof and the very large arched front window for all to see. These signs change each building from just another among many on the street, to ones with a purpose. They would be considered a title sign, but they are also a type of directional sign.
Most directional signs include symbols or arrows that further help in guiding people to, or away, from a certain direction, entrance or hazard. The bigger a property is, the more directional signs really help. The SPCA found this an essential part of their exterior sign needs at this property. So,
they commissioned some smaller signs, complete with arrows, to be strategically installed at building corners, to direct customers to specific buildings and entrances for particular SPCA divisions. Expanding is great in so many ways, but unless you provide proper signage to get people to the right place, it can be a nightmare. Make sure to update, add, and upgrade your outdoor and indoor signage as your company evolves, whether that involves more buildings or you are changing the footprint of your existing space.
