Tampa,FL-Carved Ext Monument and Business Entrance Signs

Sandblasted signs are signs where either the lettering, images, border, or all of the above are carved from sign foam and then painted. This process gives a unique look to any sign. Sandblasting gives a  3-dimensional look. The carved portions become raised surfaces and give the simplest text a sophistication and quality that no other medium can. For this very reason, many medical and professional office complexes often insist that all tenant’s exterior signage use the sandblasting technique. The Palm Villa Center is a recent example of such a new sign need. This multi tenant center has one main monument sign where each tenant is allowed to display their name. The large stone monument at the business park’s entrance already had 4 tenants sign inserts displayed. Each one is the same size and shape and is carved, but each was allowed a choice of text style and color. The base color option of brown tones, also allowed them to differentiate.

Armed with their wants and their landlord’s guidelines, the Gastroenterology office came to Premier Signs of Tampa, for their sandblasted insert sign. The collaborative result was an insert with a dark brown background, gold carved lettering and sign border, bearing the medical specialization in bold letters. The physician’s name is right below it, in smaller text. Dr. Sobia’s new monument sign insert is distinctive, yet cohesive. It is the look that both the client and the landlord wanted, and therefore the perfect addition.

Most sandblasted signs are for individual clients with less restrictions and therefore more creative results. A great example is the business wall entrance sign for Julestarz, a Performing Arts Academy. They came to Premiere Signs with a request to create an artistic, dimensional sign with a much more intricate design to be carved. The carved border outlines the artistic elongated arch across the top of the otherwise rectangle shape. The body not only has a carved title, but a beautifully carved dancer leaping above it, seemingly through the gold outline of a star. This design is obviously more complicated than the earlier example, but the size and placement of the text and graphics, as well as the contrast with the background, makes this aesthetic rendering a design that works. This is a quality piece, not only because it is eye-catching, but because it is easy to read, which results in great branding and outdoor marketing.

A sandblasted sign is like no other because it creates interest from every angle. The look of these signs is what may draw a client to choose it, but it has other qualities as well that are important for your business sign. While sign foam is obviously is able to be shaped, it is also a very durable medium. This is why it can be used for both indoor and outdoor signs. It can be carved in many shapes, styles, sizes and can be painted in your choice of colors. Even if the sign displays thick, bold letters or large graphics, it only looks like a weighted piece. Sign foam is actually lightweight so there is no problem hanging them high on your business wall, in your lobby, or one of the many exterior placements. While durability is also important for interior signs, an eye level installation really allows the artistic value of your business sign to be truly appreciated.

Remember to consider making your next exterior or interior business sign a sandblasted one. Enlist the help of Premier Signs of Tampa, for more information and ideas for all your signage needs, by calling 813-914-7006, or email to info@premiersignfl.com.
