Large walls, soffits, concrete, and dry wall, were easily adorned with acrylic letters to define the Department of Housing and Residential Education of University of South Florida in Tampa. Several interior rooms of the Housing and Residential Education Department now have a cohesive identity through acrylic lettering. USF was faced with providing new signage that would be professional, pleasing to the eye and consistent, even though their interior surfaces were very diverse. Premier Signs of Florida showed USF the large range of lettering dimensions available with acrylic letters because the right size of letter is as important as color when considering legibility and impact. Matching their signature green color however, was easy since acrylic comes in a wide array of standard colors but can be painted to PMS specifications. 
Premier signs also explained that mounting wouldn’t be a problem even though University of South Florida’s interior walls surface materials varied. Acrylic letters can be flat mounted or mounted with studs. Once Premier Signs measured and prepped the surfaces, they installed the letters accordingly on the designated walls. It was necessary in one room to drill into a concrete wall, in precise locations, to accommodate studs that were screwed to each acrylic letter for a sturdy mount. Now their is no doubt as to what department of USF their students, faculty or visitors are in when they enter these rooms. The walls also present the department’s motto in a concise, attractive way demonstrating the USF Housing and Residential Education Department’s definite passion.
