We were contacted by Laser Locators to design a custom monument sign that would stand out and be cool looking. Some of the elements of the sign needed to complement the building. The night time lighting was important to stand out and a blue light affect was chosen.

This illumination was special in design. We had push thru acrylic letters with black day/night perforation on the faces. This would make the letters black by day and blue at night. You can see the difference in the two pictures. The monument was fabricated from aluminum and then painted to a silver color of customer choice.
The lighting is done with blue LED lighting to be efficient and offer a nice glow. The letters are back lit and then a area at the base is illuminated to shine down and create a border.
The sign is double sided so the same affect is on the other side facing the building entrance.
Ground signs can be of many shapes and sizes but this particular ground sign had some unique fabrication. Custom acrylic letters are used for the non-illuminated letters such as the address and web site.
Illuminated monument signs are most popular but non-illuminated versions such as foam monuments can be done with exterior illumination. Another common ground sign has flat face from aluminum and acrylic letters attached for some dimension.
Of course the monument sign needs to have the proper footer and concrete to hold it in place and meeting engineering specs an wind load requirements. These specs change all the time, so current engineering must be done on the sign design.
