Financial advisors can be very beneficial for people who are going through a difficult time, need assistance with investments or who just want to make sound decisions with their money. It takes a very special set of skills to excel as an advisor, and there are many areas which they are trained in throughout their education, but many advisors enter the marketplace without any training in sales.

An advisor can be the best in the business, but without an expanding client list they could still struggle to gain traction in their practice. The most successful financial advisors not only provide a great deal of care and a high level of service for their clients, they also understand the sales process and actively work to expand their business. Once you understand both of these aspects, your business can begin to scale and your goals for growth are much more attainable.

As a business coach serving the Phoenix area, I have had the opportunity to lead sales training for people of many different industries. While many of my clients have a need in their operations, there is always some aspect of sales in my services because it is the lifeblood of any business. I am happy to offer specialized sales training for people in different industries, including financial advisors, to help them gain new clients and reach their professional goals.

Many financial advisors will tell you word of mouth is the most effective form of marketing and the best way to expand your business. Prospecting can involve several different means, and in our training sessions we go over some marketing tactics as well as the best ways to contact clients and lead them towards a sale. We discuss best practices for cold calls/emails, how and when to follow up, how to move through the closing process and how to ask for referrals, which are all essential ways to grow your client list.
