What’s up, everybody? Welcome to TruHit Fitness Star. I am Kelsey Zebrowski. I’m the head trainer of the TruHit Fitness Franchise. Super excited to present to you guys a couple of new movements and in our TRX series. So we like to do a lot of movements on the TRX bands because you really can challenge yourself right, so a lot of times people only think of it for rows and a lot of upper body movements.

Easy Lower Body Exercises You Can Do with Your TRX Suspension Trainer

There are so many lower body movements that you can do with this as well. So I’m going to show you a couple.

The Sprinter Start

The first one is what’s called the Sprinter Start but at least that’s what we call it. And we’re putting that TRX right behind the shoulders and you’re actually gonna hold on to it, kind of underneath your armpits with those hands on the outside of the handles. Now, the lower you are the harder this movement is going to be. So, you want to try and keep your body as low as possible. Now, for this sprinter start, think of how you would start in blocks if you were a sprinter, right: you’re up on your toes, your hips are nice and low, and you’re going to push up using those quads, keeping that core nice and tight. And please notice I’m not letting my hips go back, okay? I’m not letting momentum take over, I’m keeping my hips in that forward lunge position. I’m gonna push up, bring it back, push up, bring it back. Nice, good quad burner there. And obviously you want to make sure you’re doing the same number of repetitions on both sides.

The Glute Thrust

Now after you feel very comfortable with that, you can go into what’s called a glute thrust. So in the same position with the TRX, you want to be as far back as you can, and seated in those hips and you’re gonna push, thrust forward, tap those feet, and jump back. Thrust forward and back. Pushing through those glutes using those quads with cat explosive motions.
