Project Overview
A local office park located on Connecticut Avenue in South Windsor had some dated and worn signs which were used to identify which businesses occupied which office spaces in their facilities. The previous signs were older and they experienced difficulty when changing the names of businesses listed when a tenant moved out of a space. In addition, some visitors to the office park reported difficulty reading the names of the businesses listed.
The owners of the office park partnered with our company and tasked us with coming up with a solution to meet their budget and serve the purpose of identifying their tenants clearly.
The Solution: Custom Post & Panel Signs
Our team created a simple yet effective solution in the form of a custom post and panel sign, featuring removable tiles for each office space and high contrast black and white colors to make the sign very easy to read, even from the street. The result is a much more efficient and effective sign which will last for many years to come.
Post and panel signs are very versatile and they can be customized to meet the needs of different businesses. Typically made from an aluminum or steel frame with an aluminum panel in the middle, these signs can be dressed up to serve as the main sign for a business, act as wayfinding signs for others and in this case they can serve a unique purpose as a large directory.
For this sign, we created the traditional post system using aluminum and then added a grid in the middle to hold the company name tiles. This solution was exactly what the owners had in mind, and our team was able to complete the entire project on time and on budget.
