Review of complex and visible graphics project

While every job is unique, the ones with special permitting needed, large space to cover and/or highly visible products are always fun and rewarding from start to finish.
Recently we had the chance to work with a local company on what might be our most visible project to date, and we’re excited to give you all the details here.
Project Overview
GalaxE Solutions is a global provider of complex IT systems and consults businesses on their tech needs, and they recently moved into a new office space in downtown Hartford, CT. As a global player in this space, GalaxE wanted to make their presence known in Hartford, and consulted with our company, G-Force Signs & Graphics, to determine the best way to announce their arrival to the area.
The Solution: Sky Bridge Window Graphics
GalaxE’s new office space has a sky bridge attached to the building which is over Asylum Street, a busy roadway in downtown Hartford. After consulting with them, we determined the best way to announce their arrival downtown was to brand this sky bridge with their logo and a specific tag-line “Outsource to Hartford.”
This was an ambitious project from multiple angles.
The most complex aspect was the red tape necessary to get the project permitted through the city. Since the graphics would be very visible, the city had concerns about the project and it required more diligence than a standard sign permitting project. Luckily, our team has years of experience and great relationships within the permitting department, and we speak their language when it comes to sign details. While the permitting process did take a bit longer than it does when we permit simple signs, we were able to secure the necessary permit to advertise on the sky bridge.
Installing the graphics on the outside of the building would have been difficult in more ways than one. Traffic would have had to be interrupted, lifts rented and time spent on outside installation, so we opted to install the graphics on the inside of the sky bridge’s windows. Since it’s all glass, the end result is still a very visible advertisement.
Visible at all times, but especially when in direct sunlight, the finished product has garnered much attention in Hartford and GalaxE has reported a great deal of interest from potential clients right here in Connecticut.
