Project Overview
ARI Accounting & Human Resources is a provider of business services in Glastonbury and their business has been very successful. Since this is the case, they decided to expand into new office space to better serve their clients.
Even though this will be an extension of their existing main space, the goal of putting signs in the new office remained the same: to instill confidence in their clients and help promote an environment of professionalism.
This project did present a unique challenge, and our company (G-Force Signs & Graphics) was happy to take it on. This sign would have to be installed behind the welcome area, on a section of the wall made of patterned, raised texture, which was very cool-looking but would be challenging to evenly mount a sign to.
The Solution: Custom Acrylic Letters with Stand-Offs
After consulting with ARI, we mutually decided to use acrylic letters which would be individually cut out and mounted to the wall to form their logo.
Acrylic letters are a great choice for any lobby sign because they can be produced at varying thickness to create a three-dimensional look which, figuratively and literally, stands out. Acrylic can also be cut to match a logo or font, which is what we did with ARI, producing a finished product which matched their brand guidelines and color scheme.
As we touched on before, the challenge with this project was to create a sign with a uniform face height against a wall with a finished surface with varying heights.
Our team took careful measurements and our installers worked diligently to ensure the sign was mounted perfectly. We used stand-offs to mount each letter ½” from the highest point of the wall, so some of these were longer than others. While the process was tedious, the finished product is very impressive.
With ½ inch letters which stick out ½ inch from the highest point of the wall, the sign has a dimensional quality which is eye-catching and since the exact logo was re-created in acrylic, the sign helps clearly and professionally identify the business.
