Branding is essential for any business, especially when changing locations. This was the case with Always Best Care Senior Services, who recently moved to a new location in Manchester, CT. The following looks at the project, how we made signs to match the existing décor, how the current lightbox frame was repurposed, and how the new signs were added to the location.
Project Overview
Always Best Care Senior Services is a leading non-medical in-home care and assisted living referral services company. They moved to a new location and needed to brand it. This included changing the lenses for the panel lightbox sign on the street, a new sign for the main entrance, dimensional letters for the building, and a lobby sign.
Exterior Building Dimensional Letters
A dimensional letter sign was installed on the exterior to ensure customers knew about the new location. The building sign is made from formed plastic dimensional letters. These letters are 3D shapes designed to stand out from the mounting surface. They also provide a unique look and maximum clarity.
Dimensional letters are more cost-effective than other sign types as they require little maintenance and can be illuminated externally. Also, choosing plastic dimensional letters helps them benefit from the lower cost of the material. Other options used in dimensional letter signs, like aluminum and fabricated metals, are more expensive and did not fit into the project’s budget.
Lightbox Sign Update
The existing double post lightbox sign was updated with a new panel cut to fit the existing sign. Lightbox signs are made by installing a translucent vinyl lens over a lighting element and held together with a metal frame.
Lightbox signs provide high visibility due to the internal lighting, especially in low-light conditions and after dark. The panel we constructed is made from a beautiful sapphire blue with Always Best Care Senior Services, the phone number, and other info in white.
Interior Signs: Lobby and Identification
The project called for two interior signs, one for the lobby and one for the main interior entrance. The interior signs were produced using matching brushed aluminum and vinyl materials. Combining these materials creates a professional look while being more cost-effective than solid aluminum.
The signs had “Always Best Care Senior Services” printed with the same colors to continuously match the brand internally. In addition, the door sign was mounted flush, and the lobby sign was installed with aluminum stand-offs to provide depth.
