Make a Daily Schedule
One of the best things is to create a schedule for your day, either in the morning or the day before. Create a time block for each, ensuring you’ve provided a substantial amount for each task. Carefully define everything and know what you want to get done.
Create the schedule through an app, on a notepad, or your phone. There are plenty of ways to note down your tasks and assign specific time blocks to them to keep your time and priorities in the correct position.
Handle the Trickiest Task First
It might seem tempting to push your least favorite tasks until the end of the day. However, it’s almost always a better idea to complete the trickiest task first. Once it’s done, you’ll feel much less stressed about the tasks remaining.
It will take time to get used to this way of thinking. Whenever possible, push the worst task to the front of your to-do list to improve.
Prioritize Your Jobs
To-do lists are incredible, but they won’t mean anything if you aren’t smart about the order in which you complete them. Prioritize your jobs, putting those with the most urgent deadline at the top and those with the least at the bottom.
Although it might seem small, removing the most looming tasks from the day will release a weight off your shoulders. Start with do immediately and end with delegate.
Create Rational Time Limits
Make time limits for yourself to ensure you finish projects, but don’t make them too tight or lenient, as it impacts your quality of life. If you only have two to three hours to finish tasks, you’re more likely to complete them quickly when provided with a time limit.
We humans are built to work under various conditions. If you give yourself a day to complete a project, it will likely take a day. If you give yourself an hour to complete a project, it will be an hour to finish. The less time you provide, the more likely you will finish fast.
Don't Multitask
Although the world promotes the mindset of doing as many things as possible at once, it doesn’t bode well for a business. Never attempt to multitask.
If you’re going to paint a wall, paint it well. If you’re listening to wiring, listen closely. Multitasking will only rip you away from these moments.
