Many customers come to your business with an expected solution in mind for a specific issue. They don’t realize your business may offer many more opportunities to help that customer.
Case in point – Highland Square Dry Cleaners. Not only do they dry clean and press your formal clothing, they also starch your white shirts. Additionally, they offer a whole array of different services that customers could utilize. Many people are aware of these services, but most are not, mainly because of the lack of advertising.
Thomas and his wife Suzy have been at this location for 30 years. He is at the end of the strip mall and has never been one to put up advertising. He has a few 18” x 24” inch signs showing “cleaners” and “shirts laundered” but really nothing about all the other services he provides.
When Thomas suggested he needed some window film, he was looking to keep the bright western sunlight out of his eyes. This was an important goal, but this was secondary. We knew we could deliver that. Our goal was to advertise some of these “other areas” that he discussed with us and to get those one or two product customers to try some additional services.
Cleaning services are available for Leather items, Comforters, Rugs, Ugg Boots and Drapes. Highland Square Cleaners also specializes in Wedding Dress preservation. These were the areas that Thomas felt his business could grow. Of course, his mainstays of Dry cleaning and Alterations still needed to be included.
After sitting with Thomas and exchanging emails and proofs, we landed on design ideas that we really think will capture the attention of customers. How could it not as the windows we were targeting were located right in front of their parking spots. Bright colors of white and blue against a brown wall really stand out and get you noticed.
