It’s hot outside as the temperature approaches 95 degrees.  Who’s even thinking about hockey?  Here we are at the end of July and the local hockey teams are already gearing up for the start of the new season.  With only just a little over a month to go before try-outs, local teams are already putting their marketing campaigns together to ensure they have full programs this fall.  Talking to members of the Northern Express “family” here in suburban Park Ridge, the hockey season never ends with a fall season and then immediately followed by a spring season, the hockey season only slows down a couple of months during the summer.  Many of the kids’ skate 12 months a year to hone their skills.
