I have found that selling your case for a high value begins at its initial stages.  The more early preparation placed into a case, the better the results.  Following an injury accident, I immediately cause my clients to take photos and videos of their injuries as well as videos demonstrating the affect it has on their daily life. These photos and videos speak volumes when sent to the adjuster.  It increases credibility of the case and provides the ammunition for the adjuster to justify settlement value.  Remember, the insurance carrier knows that if this case does not settle, then those photos and videos are seen by a jury which could ultimately lend a higher verdict than the settlement offer. I routinely either have an investigator take photos and videos or the client's family member will take them. These photos and videos should then be scanned into the computer or on a  disc so that a backup is always available.  I have taken over cases from other attorneys where a backup was not made and the photos were missing from the file.  This obviously affected the value of the case and a chance for an early settlement at a high value.
