San Jose Signs was recently contacted by the church in San Jose- Father’s House International. They were looking to get their lobby signs and office signs done. We had our first consultation meeting and went over the options. They had a very cool looking logo. But the logo had to many thin strokes, so it was difficult to do a dimensional sign for the lobby.
So, we came up with an ideal solution. The lobby sign was created with laser cut clear acrylic and covered the back with etched vinyl to give it a frosted look. The customer was really interested in a brushed metal look. But since it was difficult to do dimensional logo with the thin strokes , we used brushed aluminum vinyl for the top surface. The sign was mounted to the wall using decorative brushed aluminum screws.
Now, it made perfect sense to match the office signs with their lobby sign. These signs would identify the different offices occupied by the administrative staff. We took clear acrylic pieces and used the same process- etched vinyl in the back and brushed aluminum vinyl on the front. To replicate the look of the brushed aluminum screws, we used faux circles and painted them metallic silver. The end result was great and the customer loved it. They want us to work on their window graphics now.
