Anyone who owns a skateboard has to participate.
Wikipedia states-
Go Skateboarding Day (GSD) is an annual holiday created by the International Association of Skateboard Companies (IASC) to promote skateboarding. The holiday was started in California by Don Brown. Anyone who owns a skateboard has to participate.
It’s a simple statement, but holds true to the very fiber of skateboarders. It’s our holiday. It’s the one day out of our crazy year where we take a moment to remember the one wonderful thing that makes us family. Skateboarding.
Go Skate Day is exactly what it says… GO SKATE DAY! Whether you are a pro, just starting out, father, mother, unemployed, working 70 hours a week, or all of the above… if you consider yourself a skateboarder, then today is a day to step on your board.
With that said, of course the only exception is if you are suffering from an injury! If that is the case, then please rest up and don’t rush it!
If you are able bodied, then June 21st is the day to grab your board and head where your friends are, or your favorite sport to shred.
Go Skate Day is about having the most fun on your board, so plan your day out! Scout out local events and plan your day accordingly. Join the masses for this one day to show your support for the lifestyle we love!!
Happy Go Skate Day!!
