You’re a leader. You know what it takes to grow a business. But are you ready to sharpen those skills and push your company even further? As a FocalPoint business coach serving Pleasant Grove, Utah, I focus on ten key areas that can transform the way you lead, inspire, and succeed. Let’s break it down.
1. Communication and Behavioral Styles
Do you really know how you’re coming across to others? Most people don’t. As a FocalPoint coach, I help you understand your communication style—how it impacts your team, your clients, and ultimately, your bottom line. Whether you’re too reserved or too forceful, small tweaks can make a big difference. Ever wonder how much more effective you’d be with the right approach?
2. Emotional Intelligence
Being aware of your own emotions is only half the battle. It’s about reading others, too. As your coach, I guide you through understanding emotional cues, making sure you respond in a way that builds trust and fosters teamwork. In a tight-knit community like Pleasant Grove, where relationships matter, emotional intelligence is key to keeping your business strong. Imagine being able to defuse tension before it even starts.
3. Leadership Style Development
You might already be a leader—but are you the kind of leader people want to follow? Whether you’re seasoned or just starting out, I help you find and refine your leadership style. It’s not just about authority—it’s about influence, motivation, and setting the right tone. What would your business look like if your leadership inspired action, not just compliance?
4. Change Management
Let’s face it—change is inevitable. The question is: how will you handle it? Change management is about more than reacting to external pressures. It’s about planning for the future and leading your team through it. As a coach, I work with you to navigate these transitions smoothly. How prepared are you for the next shift in your business?
5. Resilience and Stress Management
Stress is part of the job. But if you don’t manage it, it’ll manage you. Resilience isn’t about toughing it out—it’s about bouncing back stronger. I teach you strategies to handle stress in a way that fuels, not drains, your energy. Because let’s be honest: what’s more important than showing up as your best self every day?
6. Strength Identification and Application
Everyone has strengths, but not everyone knows how to use them. As your coach, I help you identify your unique talents and apply them where they matter most. What’s the point of being great at something if it’s not driving your business forward? Together, we’ll make sure you’re leveraging your strengths to get real results.
7. Company and Team Culture Improvement
Ever wonder why some companies thrive while others struggle? A big part of the answer is culture. It’s the invisible thread that ties everything together. As a FocalPoint coach, I help you assess and improve your company’s culture, creating a positive environment that breeds success. What kind of culture are you building right now?
8. Planning and Prioritizing
Every leader has too much on their plate. The trick isn’t just doing more—it’s doing the right things at the right time. I help my clients in Pleasant Grove create plans and set priorities that cut through the chaos. How much more could you achieve if you spent your time on what really matters?
9. Self-Confidence and Influence
Confidence is contagious. If you believe in yourself, others will too. But if you’re doubting your decisions, that insecurity spreads. As your coach, I help you build the confidence to speak with authority and influence those around you. How would your business change if you always led with confidence?
10. Strategic Thinking
Running a business without strategic thinking is like sailing without a map. You might get somewhere, but it’s probably not where you want to be. I work with you to develop the kind of strategic thinking that sets a clear course for your business. What would happen if you always had a plan to guide your next move?
These ten areas are the foundation of my coaching. As a FocalPoint business coach in Pleasant Grove, Utah, I’m here to help you grow as a leader and take your business to new heights. TRANSCRIPT:
Mike Lamb, FocalPoint business coaching of Utah. Today I wanted to talk about the key areas that I focus on as a business coach with my coaching clients.
One is the communication and behavioral style of the client and how they present themselves to their clients and to their employees.
Two is emotional intelligence, being aware of and reading other people and responding to another person’s emotions appropriately.
Three, their leadership style, whether they’re an executive or just new to the leadership journey, business coaching can help them to become a great leader with a sharpened toolbox.
Number four, the change management in the company. Effective leaders require the skill to manage and change effectively in their organization.
Number five, resilience and stress management. Excess stress can have a negative impact on your life. And and if having that coaching can help you master healthy coping mechanisms with resilience and managing your stress.
Six, identifying and applying your strengths. So a coach can help you identify these things and apply your strengths to everyday business scenarios.
Number seven, improve your company and your team culture. Coaches can help you improve the culture of your team, and if there’s areas for improvement, help you identify those and improve there.
Eight, planning and prioritizing. Sometimes we get overwhelmed with our responsibilities as a leader and in the midst of everything that’s happening it’s hard to plan sometimes and prioritize. A coach can help you with that, and that’s what I do for my clients.
Nine, improve self-confidence in influencing others. As a business coach, I help you take the steps to improve your self-confidence and speak to your employees and your clients with confidence and influencing others.
And number ten, having a strategic thought. Strategic thinking about your organization. As a business coach, I help you to think strategically on how to move your organization in the right direction while serving the overall vision of your company and your business.
Business coaching will benefit you greatly. In these ten areas are areas of focus that can help you in your business to grow. Thanks, Mike Lamb, Focal Point Business Coach and you can find me on LinkedIn and other social networks.
