Many people aren’t aware that SO MUCH goes into an event — from the coordination, to food, to florals, and last but not least… LIGHTING! Lighting can do a great deal to transform a space and create an ambiance that otherwise is unachievable. There are countless ways to create a welcoming environment with lighting. Culinary Excellence is here to provide all of them!
Let’s start with the basics and move up from there!
Candles. Though candles often provide minimal lighting, they add a warm glow to your table as your guests party into the night. Using something so simple that emits a warm light can make a HUGE impact on your overall event, and is a cheap way to add additional lighting to your guest tables!
Moving up from there, something that will keep your guests wanting to dance the night away — UPLIGHTS!
Here is an event for a corporate holiday party where we were able to light this table from behind using red and green uplights. Our uplights colors can change easily, and if you want a warmer amber color earlier in the night for dinner… don’t hesitate to ask to change for dancing! Frequently clients want things a little crazier at that time and luckily CE is here to oblige. Our uplights are compact and battery operated and can literally change to any color of the rainbow at just a moments notice.
Last but definitely not least, market lighting is the ultimate way to transform an entire space. Small Edison bulbs hang overhead during ceremonies or receptions creating a welcoming ambiance. We’re able to provide market lighting in indoor or outdoor spaces since we provide free standing poles which means no hassle of dealing with your venue to get the okay to secure things to the walls.
Here is an outdoor space with market lighting. As the sun sets, the small Edison bulbs essentially bring the stars closer to you creating a magical evening for you and all your guests.
Finally, here’s a gorgeous couple celebrating their new union! Underneath the glow of market lighting no less. This inside space needed a bit of sprucing up… nothing a little draping and lighting couldn’t fix! We transformed this space into a wonderland fit for a King and Queen and at the same time created a much warmer and inviting space rather than using the typical overhead or flood lighting. Make your photographer’s job easier and provide them with a warm glow to light your memories rather than something harsh. Lighting can make a HUGE impact all around and is sure to have your guests talking about your event for years to come.
