One of the biggest things we value is family, and more importantly family protection. An essential part of protecting your family is teaching them how to protect and defend themselves. After all, you can’t always be right by their side to help.

This is why we offer family protection classes. These classes are specifically designed for family units to take together with their kids. Our NRA-certified and expert instructors have the knowledge and teaching abilities to help you and your children learn the practical skills and information you need to protect yourselves and one another.

Why Take A Family Protection Course?

There are a few obvious reasons as to why you should take a family protection course. The first is obviously to make sure that both you and your kids are ready and able to protect yourselves and one another should the time come where these skills are needed.

Family Firearm Safety

The first class we offer at our venue is meant to teach the absolute basics of firearm safety and handling. In this class students will learn the 5 rules of safe handling and storage of firearms in the home, and how to handle a situation of finding a firearm in someone else’s home.

It is required that you attend this class as a family as much of the time will be spent talking about your individual needs. Family guidelines are essential to knowing how to be prepared and what to do in a situation where you or your kids need to defend yourselves.

Youth Introduction to Firearms

The second family protection class we offer is designed for youth without any previous experience shooting firearms. In this class, the youth will learn basics of marksmanship and firearm operation with live fire drills on the range. Practical skills they learn include performing a safety check, loading and unloading a magazine and firearm, and safely shooting on the range.

You must attend this class as a family. Parents in this class will learn the best practices for coaching their children in shooting as well as how to keep them safe on the range. It’s important to know how to strike the balance between enforcing safety rules and keeping the range time fun and exciting for you and your kids.
