Icons are an interesting aspect of branding. They can either evoke instant recognition, “hey, its the car dealership with the ape!,” or a confusing sense of “why is there a giant ape at that car dealership?” Icons, as we’re calling these recognizable figurines, can tread a slippery slope between fun branding and annoying distractions.
