We proudly offer recycled gypsum drywall and wallboard products for your manufacturing applications! Our process involves recovering and pelletizing wallboard, green board, and plaster available for use for a variety of manufacturing applications such as cement production, soil amendment, and landscaping. We have two LEED APs on staff equipped with the knowledge and expertise to guide you through your manufacturing processes using these materials. Drywall Recycling Products Are Versatile in Application
Recycled gypsum is a versatile and sustainable manufacturing product commonly reincorporated into wallboard and drywall production but is also used for several other building and land applications:
- Gypsum is vital in the production of higher-quality cement. The application of gypsum slows down the setting time of cement by covering particles with a protective layer, locking out hydration.
- It is an efficient source of nutrients for our soil, providing a rich source of sulfur and calcium: both minerals are increasingly deficient in rainfall and fertilizers today. Farmers and horticulturalists are able to improve their crop and landscape production by applying gypsum to the soil.
- Gypsum can improve the look and structure of sports fields such as golf courses! Pennsylvania State University observed a six percent increase in the green cover of a sports field, using a gypsum surface application experiment. This experiment is cited in an EPA-funded guide – “Gypsum as an Agricultural Amendment: General Use Guidelines,” by Liming Chen and Warren A. Dick.

Recycled gypsum drywall is the only type of construction and demolition material debris used in soil amendment, and is used the least in creating new materials, according to a study of debris management conducted by the United States Environmental Protection Agency (EPA) in 2015. As a result, more landfill space is available and the detrimental environmental impact of mining for new materials is minimized.
